Monastiraki
A central Athens neighbourhood and metro hub at the intersection of Plaka, Psyrri and the Acropolis.
Monastiraki (Μοναστηράκι) is a central Athens square and metro interchange (lines 1 and 3) named after its small Byzantine church. It marks the gateway between the old town of Plaka, the bohemian Psyrri, and the bazaar street of Athinas. The flea market and the open archaeological zone of Hadrian's Library both spill into the square.
