KTEL

Greece's regional intercity coach network, organised as a federation of prefecture-level operators.

KTEL (ΚΤΕΛ — Κοινό Ταμείο Εισπράξεων Λεωφορείων) is the federation of regional coach operators that runs Greece's intercity bus network. Each prefecture has its own KTEL company; Athens has two main long-distance bus terminals, Kifissos (north / west routes) and Liosion (central / north-east routes).

KTEL is the cheapest way to travel long distance in Greece (Athens → Nafplio €14, Athens → Kalabaka €33) but routes outside the major corridors run only 2–4 times a day and luggage capacity is limited.
